I recently bought a z85 and I love it. I test rode the z100 and I liked it but I didn't like the triple crank or the microshift shifters. I've read the z series are supposed to be a more relaxed geometry, I don't quite understand where the angles are different, but the z85 is a really comfortable ride. It also is very customizable at the handlebar stem allowing you to reach as high or as low as you want at the handlebars. Overall a great bike, I am impressed with Felt. I'll post my bike in a little bit!

Looking forward to see your stem swap. Got my handlebars tilted so the drops are horizontal.. may even go further so they are pointing a bit upward. That aside from the easy task of adjusting the saddle height, made the biggest comfort difference... however stem length could perhaps be a point for experimentation. Black handlebar tape. Everything else is stock. What saddle did you get? I find the stock one to be comfortable enough. I like them pretty slim just like the stock one... tried an aftermarket one which was a bit fatter and took it off. Ultimately I want to work on the engine before trying to make incremental upgrades to the bike.
I'm a newbie so I don't know if there will be a difference swapping the stock tires with the continentals I bought and have sitting around in the box, or if there's a need to swap the rims at all. They seem to perform their job just fine. I've taught myself how to change flats and adjust the derailleurs, lube up the chain, etc.

Thank you, MikeF. I love the way my bike looks and the way it rides. Hubby has the Z6, and we couldn't be happier. What was that old Mazda commercial? "Zoom zoom zoom"

Here's my new F85
Collected from the LBS last night. Fitted my Aksiums, Elite bottle cages, Sigma computer and a KMC gold chain. The photos don't do the paint job justice: it's a gorgeous metallic charcoal with green and white accents. Loving it so far.

Here's my F75....
Ultegra SL, AR3 wheels. Rear light no longer there and the cage has been replaced.
Next non commute bike will be full carbon F series, though I haven't decided which one yet. Probably an F4/F5, but I have a ways to go before I'm there.

Has anyone seen pics posted of the 2012 Felt line up, particularly the Z and ZW series. I've seen a pics of a couple of the 2012s but no all of them.

Mine is just a stealth-black (asphalt camouflage) F55, so it's nothing special to look at, but it does a decent job of seeking out pretty backgrounds...
My 2005 F55 snapped a chainstay, but Felt replaced it with a 2009 frame, free-of-charge.
And I've been very, very happy with my Felt(s) since '05. I've put easily more than 10,000 miles on the '09 frame, and have gotten it up to 58mph twice, and have never felt so much as a twitch.

Age before beauty
Here's mine. I bought it just a week ago. I'm loving it. It's a 2010 Z4. I found it as new stock in a shop in Durango while we were on vacation there. I made a deal with the shop owner and picked it up for a good price. It's not a great photo. Just a cell phone photo next to our RV on the day I bought it. So, please, no photo weenies.

kind of surprised I'm the 1st F5 in the crew...
I had surgery last Friday so to take away the visual reminder that I can't ride (in case my physical being forgets...) I put the bike away. Out of sight, out of mind?
Sorry if the pic sucks, took it with my HTC Trophy... it might be low res but you get the idea.

Cool looking bike regardless. I definitely liked last generation's colorways better.

Nice! Any problems with the picture are overshadowed by the bike

but in all seriousness, I overlooked them b/c of the new color scheme... I am kinda glad I got in for the 2010, I like the red better myself.

My Z85. Just got this in April.
Changed from white bar tape to the black. The white tape was turning black anyway.
Next change will be to get rid of the white tires. Not real fond of them.
