I have submitted a suggestion for a new Sticky Thread which would only contain a link to the spreadsheet with some basic instructions/guidelines and be locked to any new posts/replies. The idea would be to "drive" users interested in trading to the spreadsheet and not allow them to use the thread in the manner the current "Frame pass-around game" thread is used. Not sure who or if it even will get approved but in my humble IT experience I've found that having multiple ways to do the same thing (ie spreadsheet and a thread) doesn't work well. You really need to find the best solution and get everybody on board.

Anyhow, in the meantime, I just want to remind those that listed bikes on the spreadsheet to update status as it changes. Nothing more frustrating than seeing your grail bike listed in your size and having exactly what owner is looking for and then finding out that bike was traded away 2 years ago.

Good idea. I put together a similar Google spreadsheet for parts a few years ago Perhaps they should merge, and just be separate tabs in the same spreadsheet.

Yes, multiple tabs is an excellent idea. One common spreadsheet where you can list and view trades, sales and iso’s would be great.

I have no problem setting up the original spreadsheet and even supporting it if needed but does anybody know how we’d go about setting up the new Sticky Threads containing link to the spreadsheet? Maybe it’s just a matter of adding a post with link at the end of existing threads and locking those threads down so no additional replies can be added. However it’s implemented, we’d need a site admin’s assistance.

Viner - Special Professional

This is a Viner Special Professional frame and fork
It was originally orange
Seat Tube - 59 cm CTC
Top Tube - 58 cm CTC
Rear spacing 126

I am looking for an interesting frame (70s to mid 80s) of comparable value in 56 cm.

What is the cleanest way to post multiple bikes? As we get close to Spring I've been going through my herd, deciding what needs to go, and I'd like to put them into the swap-sheet to see if I can trade for what I'm looking for instead of the sell then purchase route.
Thanks for making this Tarsi

One bike per line/row. Keeping them separated makes searching, sorting etc easier. Definitely the cleanest way to enter multiple bikes.

Is it possible to import a comma or space delimited file into the spreadsheet for multiple bikes?

I’ll have to test that. I’m on a short bike tour right now but will be returning Monday. Will let you know then.

Alas, I can no longer find it. I didn't think Google ever lost anything... That will have to be restarted from scratch I suspect.

Are we perhaps talking about the “Orphan Parts” spreadsheet?

Wow, great find Miguel, this would be a stretch, I didn't elaborate much in the pass around thread, but a trade would need to be ideally for another 10th anniversary, or maybe 7-11, Motorola, Telecom and of course Molteni. I know its a tough ask but this bike is very special to me and will have to be replaced by same.

Made in Canada. Seat tube nearly 25" CTT. Head tube 22". This would be a keeper if it was 23". Really dig the milky pearl paint. Trade whole bike or f/f for similar in 23"/58cm, or some parts.

My Miyata 1000LT is already in the spreadsheet, but I'm adding it here for greater visibility. It's a 1990 model with a 60cm ctt seat tube and a 57cm top tube. Saddle not included.

I'm looking for something a bit bigger (~60-62cm, ctc, ~58cm top tube) suited to randonneuring. Something that can handle at least 28c and fenders, and ideally 32c. Willing to trade the bike for the right frameset, too. Doesn't have to be vintage. In a perfect world, I'd find a Salsa Casseroll.

If you're in the Chicago region, even better.

1991 Paramount PDG70

I tried to make thus fit me. Everyone has advised me that it is too small. 18 inches from center to top. I'm looking for a similar grade high end 90s rigid racing steel MTB frame set at least 19". Trek 970, Stumpjumper, PDG70, or better.

21" Trek 720

Looking for a 650b compatible frame, 58-56cm. Low trail and 42mm under fenders would be wonderful, but a fast bike like a Schwinn Tempo that takes 38mm tire under fenders would work also.
Bike has 2 small dents and a deformed cable holder. The paint has plenty of chips scratched and rubs, but no rust.
I probably have a blackburn rear rack that fits and I have one of the front wrap around racks that I might be talked out of.

A quick check of the serial number on vintage-trek.com will give you year, model and size. Nice looking frame, all things considered.

Its a 1982. I was going by color but the serial number confirms it.
