MKS Lambda
I have MKS Lambda pedals on both of my commuter bikes, and rarely see other bikes with them. This morning, on the light rail I spotted an orange Surly with the Lambda pedals.
How many others use and like these pedals?

I had these on my winter bike which is now gone but still have the pedals in my parts bin. My wife also has these pedals on her Rivendell. My Riv came with MKS Sneaker pedals and I never bothered to switch them out to he Lambdas. Maybe I should try them out again.

I am hoping to swap to these this weekend! I did see some on the street recently! They were recommended to me by the bike shop as a good replacement for my current rubber pedals. Not sure about the looks, but they do seem practical.

I use them on one of my bikes. Love them! My one wish is that they were compatible with powergrips, which I also love. I had thought that this was not possible, but I recently saw another cyclist with what I'm certain were Lamdas and powergrips. I might do a little experimentation to see if I can get this to work for me.

This has been a hangup for me for a while. I saw them on bike setup pretty similar to mine last week, and they looked ok. So I think it can work. I guess we will see in the next few days!

It isn't that I try to get the best looking pedals, most pedals are inoffensive to look at, but not those for me.

Honestly, I've never seen a good-looking platform pedal, so I just focus on how they function.

You realize That Riv Bike's Grant Peterson endorses and sells them themselves..

For LBS, I Boxed up a tourist's Bike with them .. having added Power Grip straps .. Power Grips
They rode transcontinental to Here.. Did not see the shoe choice, Probably just what was Comfortable.

That is an incredibly beautiful frame, that has a timeless, old world beauty about it.
I would agree the MKS Lambda pedals would look much better on your bike, than on a modern bike.
I might see now that I know what you bike is, what I might have gone for instead.

I ordered some lambdas and they arrive mid-week. Excited about the extra length. I have been having some foot pain, and I think the extra length should do the trick. I have a lot of thin soled shoes I ride in.

Oh, that's an interesting idea. I was thinking I need extra width on the outside, but this would give it on the inside instead. But not exactly. It lets me hang the inside side of my foot over instead of the outside side. Is that a good thing for you?

I installed a pair on my tourer last year and liked them so much that I've put a pair on my allez and cross-check as well. Slapped a pair on my girlfriend's tourer for her a few months back also. I ride 'em in the summer with Nashbar Ragster sandals and Kursk Chrome shoes in winter.

I see battleaxe, not drumstick.
I have two bikes with pedals with pegs. I love how they grip but each has scraped me good at least once and I'd change without too much regret.

These look like they'd match pretty well. What sold me on the Lambdas is that they are nicer to the soles of your shoes.
