Colnago Carbon CX Zero Disc Ultegra sz 50sl

Good Morning Everyone,

This is my second post and I appreciate how my last question was answered. So, here I am again. I am looking at Colnago on the pre-owned market. I understand that the frame geometry of some of their bikes actually make them ride larger than the traditional top tube measurement would indicate because of the sloped frame. This brings me to my question...This listing specifies "50sl" which I have never seen before. Is this metric indicative of a sloped frame and how this bike should be measured as compared to "standard" frames? Basically, what does it mean.

Thanks
Mark

I have this road bike and love it. Because of the sloping geometry, 50s is the same as a 54cm. I'm 5'9 and it is a perfect fit.

It is measured the same as any frame i.e. use the stack and reach numbers as your starting guide.
You can compare those numbers to any existing bike you're riding.

Then you'll want to look at the seat tube angle, and the front-to-centre for any toe overlap (if that bothers you).

Break things down from there e.g. 'standover': if you have a short inseam.
