Most important frame measurement for touring bikes?

Get the top tube measurement right and you'll be ok too. I have a long body for my height and go with a 56cm top tube and adjust the saddle. I've never had a problem.

Bought the bike in the end. 50 bucks. Might start a cr@ppy touring bike thread.
Needs new shifters. Has Shimano 200 GS gear on it. Steel lugged frame, japanese i think. 2 new tires. Bit of a step through.
Got a long stem on it so i'm thinking i could get that changed for a zero rise quill stem, or an adapter to a threadless stem if needed?
Now just need to find myself a bike. I keep seing this white dude riding this large framed bike about town that i like the look of, but only has one sprocket on the back. I actually followed him abit the other day, but i started to creep myself out abit so backed off. LOL
