Richie Porte - where to?
Richie Porte seems to have recovered from all his accidents finally, or at least he seems better than he has been since stage 9 of the 2017 TdF. Rumor said that he was going back to Ineos. Though I wonder if he'd go to Israel Start-Up Nation to work with Froome again. Would they even want him? Would he benefit Froome or others there?

Heck, someone else speculating on that too....

Though I've seen a few articles that say he is not. Most say Ineos.

Israel start-up seems to be only hiring riders who used to be able to win. Richie might still be a year or two away from meeting their criteria.

^richie's got the experience and the crashes to prove it. if this crazy year of 2020 proved anything in the pro road cycling arena...it's
that the young punks are here, kicking you know what and taking names. the richie's, stevie k's, froomie's, valverde's, sagan's,
thomas' et al of the sport are on notice and are getting zero gifts because of their elder statesman/experience cred. that's gone.
these kiddos will put them in the red and laugh as they ride away.

Let's see how he does today in the UCI world...... I haven't missed it yet have I?
Don't expect him to win, but I hope he does well. But then again, he is apparently going to Ineos. (boo) But while I don't pull for them (Ineos/Sky), I still think they've brought a lot of good ideas into training and tour tactics.
I probably have missed it..... should have turned the TV on sooner!

Guess I can't fault Richie for feathering his nest. As a fan, I find it disappointing. Have to wonder what stage 9 of his next GT will hold.
