Cracked Fork? Trek 7300 FX
Hello all! Could you please help me in diagnosing why my “new” used 7300 FX would have this half crack in its fork? Is is safe to ride on? If not, is it not a big deal to have it weld repaired? Thanks!

You can post in the "Introductions" forum, and other threads of interest.
But we don't allow "junk" posts just to reach 10.

Ridiculous
I know you are a moderator and not the admin, but that is absolutely ridiculous. Viewing your recent posts, most replies regarding this “policy” are aimed at new members to the site like me, just looking for answers. The fact you can’t post a picture as a new guy is asinine; you’re alienating people who are just wanting to ask questions about bikes. I’ve been part of many national vBulletin forums for hobbies and never have I had to post 10 worthless posts just to ask a question with a picture attached...🙄
For those interested; a local weld shop will fix aluminum or steel forks for a very reasonable rate. I was charged $35 to fix the small separation where the headset meets the forks. I’d post a picture, but I am unable. The welder did an excellent job.
