Tommaso Forcella Endurance Road Bike

I recently read BikeReviewsHub`s latest blog post about Entry-Level road bike and bought new Tommaso Forcella Endurance Road Bike.

Overall, I like the bike. It's light, feels great to ride but there are some issues:
1. The bike seat is practically useless. You should expect to buy a new one as the one this comes with is very uncomfortable.
2. The bike pedals are really sharp. If you catch it on your shin or something, it will hurt really badly. I will probably replace this.
3. After only 2-3 rides, the spikes came loose and I had to get it repaired at a bike shop. They told me that they have never had such a new bike run into this issue before. Also, the bike came with the front tire fully flat. Had to get that replaced. All this to say, not feeling very inspired by the quality so far.

It is rather uncommon on these pages to like the posted bikes for the "worst"/least fitting/you name it part they are equipped with but I have found an exceptional piece of blasphemy where this is exactly the case. Opinions welcome. I might not fit it on a holy grail pista bike but it would not be less awkward (and still useful) on my bikes as well. So who else likes the non aero seatpost on this beauty?

Got my front wheel back today from being laced. Got the tire mount and took a few snapshots.

I should have it completed in 2 weeks and ready to ride.

The 'pod' below the bottom bracket has a water bottle inside, along with a small pump and electric motor, operated by a small button on the end of the handlebar. The water then comes up a tube to the rider

Really well done, it will be a nice one - actually it is already. Btw, I think I was a question from you if 'normal" turbo exists in celeste, am I right?

As far as I know, the only "real" Turbo saddle was super turbo in Bianchi livery. There were also the Turbo Matic and Turbo Lite, the latter in celeste, but without Bianchi branding.

They produced a Turbo-like saddle though, which looks close to it, it is usually just referred to as Selle Italia Bianchi saddle. It has Bianchi Text on one side, and Selle Italia in cursive on the other.

It misses the two bumps at the rear bottom, where on Turbos the "Turbo" text used to be. And have a full plastic rim at the bottom back. By us they are quite common, but it might be tricky to find them in good condition and in the

classic green tone, not in the newer blue-ish.

@Lattz Thanks for comments. I'm really happy with the way the Krono turned out.

Yes I asked about the regular celeste turbo. I do own a super turbo as you can see the Krono is sporting one and in the past I had a Mundialita. I ask about a regular turbo since I found this one.

You're right, I ran a few searches ant thought its hopeless, then bumped into one, which led me to the conclusion that it might be that this was made for the 1985 Specialissima SL (at least google that, and you'll see more than just to google celeste turbo, bianchi turbo etc...)
Must be pretty common and obtainable

Nice bike! Is that a clincher Vittoria Corsa 650c on the front? Lucky you!
When I have been looking for 650c gumwall tire, Vittoria was the only I could find with a matching 700c. Well at least on their website; I was not able to find it in stock anywhere, and now they also removed the 650c option from their website.

Yes its a 650c clincher . I searched deep into the web that I think if I'd gone deeper I'd find the Matrix lol. I found a seller that had them and other tires at great prices. Buying from Vittoria was my last resort. Ive attached the link to the 650c Vittoria.

Miguel,
Man, that is very sweet....When looking at how it arrived and the way it looks now, the difference is night and day....I particularly appreciate the detail to the spokes in the wheel and the black rather than the typical green on the bars.
I have stalled on mine because of work, but seeing yours gives me a new inspiration to begin again.
Best, Ben

Maaaan, bellissima bicicletta! Edoardo would be proud... it is really nice congratulations! And as Ben pointed out, the black pops here. I don't know if you wanted the Specialissima'85 Turbo for this or the other, but if yes I hope, you'll never get one.

@Lattz LOL the seller of a vintage Pista bike didn't budge on selling the saddle separate from the bike so as of now I'm not getting one .

I think the black on this build balances out with the celeste of the frameset. I took it for a spin down the main boulevard near home and it just takes off quickly. It helps to have a 12-19 freewheel but it picks up speed easily.

xiaoman1 There's no rush on a build in my opinion. I took 10 months on this one.

malcala622 Tell him, that he's my hero

xiaoman1: ask my Vespas about stalled projects I was in my early 20s when I bought them, now closer to 40 than 30 still none of them is done. Your bike already made a hyperspace jump as well, at least when it comes to how it looked like when you got the frame. A bit of cosmetics here and there and it will fly as well (and I can't repeat enough: it will definitely be awesome).

As I'm suffering again from my episodic Columbus Max fever, and as I was checking quite a few of them lately trying to identify a certain frame, I thought at least a few selected ones would not hurt anyone's eyes here, especially that still there is room for improvement when it comes to the number of pista bikes.

Its also a nice way to show how big the artistic/engineering freedom is among the builders who start with the same 9 tubes.

Today's Market Lookout goes out to Petit Breton and everybody else who like such:

The awesome one includes frameset, front derailleur, shifters and headset (no, not the extremely rare handlebar or the brakes, at least Google translated it as steering and steering cap.) and asking price is ~USD1950 worth or Rubles, whle the other cost ~USD590,- as pictured.

Everybody needs one of these under their Christmas tree!
Well said, or maybe hand then out to newborns right together with the birth certificate, so no wait until Xmas!
Welcome to TTLand by the way, the corner of bike forums dedicated to vintage time trial and pista (and now pizzta) bikes.
You have made an impressive entry, is that Zunow yours, or you just like it enough to be your avatar?
