All Lit Up! New lights for me!
Currently, I have two rear lights, a helmet light and also bar lights plus reflective spoke tape (that are awesome).
Worked with my friend last weekend to put more lights on. He is the head mechanic at the shop by me and is the only one to have these lights and he is also a commuter. He built them from different parts and they are awesome.
They run off the water bottle battery and controlled by remote. It has something like 30 colors you can pick. Love them!
Here is a pic of my commuter in the light.
Here are two links to videos of the lights on my bike. The videos sorta suck so I apologize.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skEhA...ature=youtu.be
This one I sent to my commuting friend, Chris, in CA. Also, no sure how to rotate the video. lol

Oh my gawd that's crazy man!! Little annoying in my opinion, but hey, if it works to keep you safe then I'm all for it!
I feel more then safe with my set up consisting of on the front a Phiilips Saferide on the bars, Cygolite Mitycross 480 on the helmet, there was a Knog flasher but it broke after 3 days of use so I'm looking for new one but I may forgo it to get a brighter main tail light. In the rear seat tube I have a Blackburn Mars 4 (only one that is on steady mode) that the battery door is wearing out, Cateye LD600 on the helmet and Soma Road Flares on the bar ends that someday may come out when I do heavier touring so I can use bar end shifters.
I've had cops and passerby's give me praises for my light set up, and I find 99% of the people give me a very wide berth when passing.

I did the vids are cool, real cool!! You will be seen I tell you that.
IMO, on bicycles you can't overdue it.. In some people's opinion, some bicyclists have blinding lights. Not talking about on the MUP or trails, but on the streets, where it is knock down drag out, if one has a zillion watt searchlight, he would still not be over lighted. Bicycles are only in veiw to cars for a couple seconds..Opposed to getting hit by moving steel. IMO, that is a no brainer.

FWIW. I don't like to do it, but every now and then I get caught after dark without a rear flasher or front blinky. It's nerve wracking but after awhile you realize that the cars can indeed see you and you just get on with the ride. I feel much better when I have my blinky though. Just the one (at each end). That's all anyone really needs. More than two and you are a [Terms of Service Violation]. I haven't seen the videos but if they are as awe inspiring as the follow on posts are alluding... ... well, I for one can foresee a scenario where the [TOS Violation] is taken out by an agonized driver who simply wanted to stop the pain. Humans, everywhere on earth pretty much have the same urges and responses. Americans, as a subset of humans, have over developed the human instinct to dominate a situation. Come out on top. In Europe and civilized Asia and elsewhere, strict laws govern how much lightpower you can use, both in front and behind your bicycle. Not just the power but the beam height and width as well. This is to reduce your chances of blinding oncoming or following road users. Laws, because instinct doesn't work in these kinds of "us or them" situations. I certainly can't argue with their results. Enjoy the entitlement.

The funny that happened this morning when riding at 4:15 AM to work. The first guy I saw on the bike was coming toward me in the other lane and just stared at me. Then another rider was coming by. This guy I have never seen but he yelled out "I could see you a mile away". Then I road past a park and a guy was walking who usually rides in the morning and he waived me down and said he could see me coming form the other street. Ha. I love them!
