Must be something about Fishtown that makes the hipsters think they can charge more than retail price for a blemished and oversized single-speed bike made in Taiwan.

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3872020802.html

Apparently Fishtown Syndrome has spread to West Philadelphia. (Yo- - nice fork.)

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3870903768.html

The brakes don't work, and it's another victim of Fishtown Syndrome pricing, but, hey, it's a "great way to spend time together with the family".

That assumes your family members don't each weigh 200++ lbs., and you have REALLY strong quads.

This almost seems like a troll to get noticed in a forum like this: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/3864809148.html

Where to even start? The spacing? The price? "Do your research" with no photos or brand listed? "Fixie lifestyle"

The "Divorce my almost NEW Giant XTC-2" ad recalls the guy/gal here who wrote here at BF of avoiding having beloved bike stolen by u-locking her to his/her ankle at night.

True love. Then it could come to this.

Not sure this is a "serious" ad, I am sure not a serious price.

Never riden yet it has a laid back seat post aero seat and large plateform pedals that did not come onto the market till almost ten years after his 76 not riden date. Plus small kids size and the guy wants $1250 try more like $125.

Yet another subtle classic. Notice the seller promotes ready to ride despite missing bar tape bad tires. iffy chain, rough pedals and torn seat just from first look.

I stumbles on this this morning. I think the frame is from the '70s, from what little can be seen of the headbadge but the decals looked wrong so I looked closer.

Bianchi racer, Excellent Condition - $450 (McClintock & Broadway, Tempe)

Pretty sure this isn't a CampagnolA crank.

Now you can have a carbon Campagnola RD on your Huffy too!

If the RD is in good shape the whole shebang might be worth $200

Some of the bigger shops around here charge 10-15 for a box. I was told that since they unpackage and assemble at a location away from their retail places the charge is for the transportation of the box.

Just got to vent for a second...had a beat on a Ron Cooper with a mix of Dura Ace and Mavic SSC. Talked to the seller the other day for a while and told him how excited I was about the prospect of acquiring his Ron Cooper, that I'd been looking for one for some time (since seeing several fine examples on this forum, and hearing their owners' praises). Seller lives very close to me, and I told him I could come immediately or whenever would be convenient for him. He said the soonest he could show the bike would be Wednesday (tomorrow). I wrote again this morning to confirm our meeting, and the seller replied that a "surprise situation" came up and that the bike has been sold. Grumble, grumble.
