Sram eTap shifter battery cover screw

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sram eTap shifter battery cover screw

Anyone know the size?

I dropped one changing the battery. It's working just fine with 2, but i'd like to have all 3 there.

Not sure if it's 2mm or 2.5mm.

I see that you have the pic from their spare parts catalog. How much do they want for a set of screws? Just curious.

Well, you have to buy the 3 screws with the batter cover. The best price i've seen is $12 but all of the USA vendors say they are out of stock which means I have to buy from Canada or the UK. So with shipping i'm looking at $25.

OUCH.

I went to the local ACE Hardware and they have a M2.5 but only 8mm for 43¢

So since I had to place a $100 hardware order from McMaster, for my automotive work, I added a box of M2.5x5mm screws for $4.14.

If anyone needs one i'll offer them for a 5¢ each plus shipping.

Sorry for your loss.

etap battery screws

I believe that the screws are smaller than M2.5
Tried a M2.5 and it was too big.
Eventually found the lost one. But will happily replace with hex head if anyone find the correct size.

They're 2.5mm x 5mm

That's what fits my 1st gen Red eTap.
