Is this off-topic?

Ummm....trying to think of a way to argue that this is relevant to cycling.

I guess I'll leave it up to you to decide.

That's going to take a heck of a lot of thinking. The only possible connection I can think of is that perhaps if you extrapolate evolution, cycling represents a higher evolutionary plane. One past beer.

It's a well-produced if lame commercial.

Guiness isn't beer, it's just sold in the beer section.
My wife uses it as a beer additive, sorta like the tequila in her lime juice.

Guinness is nice, but it's highly overrated. I find it's too mild. I prefer a dark stout where they've slightly burnt the malt. Guinness is not "smoky" enough. Mais, a chacun a son gout...

Depends on the type. Canned stuff is not good- On Draught and it is not bad but far too cold. Bottled at Ambient temp and pretty good but if you want the best-- Drink it in Ireland. Trust them to keep the good stuff for them selves.

But I would not like it as a Preride drink. Post ride and I'll take guinness in any form.

Good point. Or, it could be a thread about Sammy Davis, Jr. (who was singing "Rhythm of Life" from Sweet Charity in the first ad above).

Here's the original:

Carbon fiber bikes evolved from steel, so I definitely see the connection!

Brings up an interesting point, can items "evolve" without the guiding hand of a craftsman? Now, can beer find its way without outside help?

I like em all and say, lets all lift a tall cold one to the maker of all good things, Steel, Carbon Fiber and Hops. Benge Boy does find the fun stuff.

Hope you are going to do some Interval training with that. Get too intensive and you could be ill for a while.

Tequila shots are good interval training for those longer beer sessions.

Beer is an integral part of my carbohydrate recovery session after a long ride. Here's a beer commercial that's always been my favorite...
