Help identifying bicycle
Hi,
I could use some help identifying this bicycle. My mother-in-law has been riding this bike since 1971 I guess. She was wondering what manufacture built this bike and maybe the actual age of the bike. It says it's made in Germany. Sorry for the poor pictures, I can go take some better ones if I need to. I forgot - my daughter likes this bike but she wants it painted pink etc. Should I leave the bike in the current condition or is it worth something?

Based on seat stay attachment combined with chainset one possibility is Kalkhoff. They did a good deal of private labeling for chain stores. If you search for photos of bicycles under that name you may find something quite similar...
