Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I got the 30mm width, but won't use them right away. I just mounted my last 30mm G-One speed(rear), so I needed to restock. This tire should last until July, unless it gets sliced prematurely.

This ultra-heavy resistance band to try and get some effective squats and deads going in the basement. Might be too heavy. Shoe provided for reference. Don’t know why the photo is upside down.

Got sick and tired using a plastic bag as my cycling wallet. Picked up a Gorix cycling wallet.

Made a video check it out.

Not a purchase, but an upgrade (or tentative to...)

Yesterday I had nothing to do after a 50k ride & decided to paint the inside of my Ultegra rotors with plastidip paint. It took 1 hour to do the prep & ended up not working as it peeled off as soon as I removed the masking tape. I should have used a high heat spray paint instead.

Anyways, I'll buy Dura-Ace rotors instead...

I guess I'll find out sooner or later.
It’s all in the technique. You have to inch the last part of the bead on using a upward motion with one standard lever. If you try to slide it on you’re going to have a bad time (used to be me, it was awful). I can get GP5ks on VERY quickly using this technique. Zero drama, zero cursing, and zero sweat beads on my forehead.

And the good taste to put Campy on it too. You wouldn't want to ruin a good bike with that other brand... And this easily cost $6k, probably more. That's almost too nice to ride.

My old Garmin Forerunner bit the dust, so I replaced it with a Wahoo Element Bolt. So far I'm pretty happy with it. :-)

Just bought the bike (2011 Felt F15x) about two weeks ago. Bought a new rear tire (Vittoria), new bar tape for it and my old Trek 1200, and a holder for my phone while I’m riding.

So my stubbornness ended up winning today. I picked up a can of high temp spray paint this morning & painted my rotors properly. The longest part is the prepping (taping and cutting around with a scalpel). Result is great. Cost me 5$ instead of 200$+ for dura-ace rotors Not sure how many grams the paint added to my bike though, but I am happy with this!

After getting coal-rolled by some sentient filth in a red diesel pickup several weeks ago I started looking into bike cameras, and ended up picking up a Cycliq Fly 12 CE, like this one. Took it on its first ride today. I think it'll be quite useful if anything goes down to the front of my bike. If I like it I'll probably pick up the Fly 6 rear tail light/camera combo unit as well.
