Light weight bike lock for touring?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a light weight bike lock/cable for bike touring?

Thanks

Light mostly means weak.

You might try in the touring forum.

locking wheel skewers and seat post clamp, then use a small U/D lock. A bit more difficult to defeat than a cable lock but similar weight.

The TiGr lock offers very light weight, excellent protection (certainly beyond cable), terrific and discreet portability, and lockup versatility (again depending on model length).

Here's a picture of an old 075 model, standard length, which is no longer in production, but it gives you an idea of how it can be easily carried, without taking up or needing rack or bag space:

You're mistaken there, Bobbito. TiGr is far better than any cable you'd consider carrying. Check out the comps, i.e. the locks which share the same security rating:

People have sliced thru them with bolt cutters .. Ti Is Soft.

Those are company data , not from someone trying to cut them , which is Destructive testing.

What are youLocking to in all the places you are going to forsee if its long enough.

You havent tried cutting it , someone else will ..

2 rating says they all are vulnerable to someone that steals Bikes as their Agenda.
