Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I bought some cheap tires for my Cyclocross bike. Sunlite K189 (naming is weird). Was previously running Specialized Borough tires which were 42c actual, but I ran in to clearance issues over time. So far so good till I get a pinch flat or puncture.

My next purchase will hopefully be a smartphone mount for my Android smartphone so I can (not) play Pokemon GO on my bike....

My most recent bike related purchase as well. Plus a pair of Kenda Komfort tires for the commuter.

Great tires.

Supple, rides on the luxurious side of nice, pretty fast rolling and very predictable near the limit if you choose to push them hard.

I need to stock up as Vittoria is hyping the G series and I think these might become unavailable soon. I've seen them labeled "closeout" on some sites.

Where did you buy? How much?

Nashbar. $23.10/each with the 23% discount that was active when I ordered them. Replacing a set of Forte AMR+ that I threw on after I got the bike that have since worn down, so it'd be really hard for these to be anything except a big step up. They're supposed to be here tomorrow

I agree they are great tires, I finally wore out my set a couple of weeks ago with about 5800 miles on them and only one flat. Mine were 25 tires, I bought mine on a closeout sale, I think they were either $18 or $21 dollars each, I can't recall for certain now.

They were $14 at Ribble for a short while. I should have jumped on a few pair.

I had a proper bike fit at a LBS with the Retul fitting. Between the fit and a new saddle (ISM PN 1.1) the comfort level on the bike has gone way up.
