Super knobbie cx tire suggestions?
I'm riding a lot of MTB trails in the southwest with my cx. I can't do everything but I don't mind getting off my bike and running it. New to the game of trail riding though and my current tires are ready to be replaced.
Any suggestions for super knobbie tires that roll over rocks and various southwest terrain better than kenda happy mediums? I like them in gravely parts of my ride, but I feel sketched out going over a bunch of loose big rocks. I was looking around and so far I'm interested in Panaracer Fire Cross 700x45 c tires, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd whole heartedly appreciate it!

The Panaracers are great as long as they clear your frame. They will not fit most cross bikes though.

You should consider the Schwalbe Smart Sam in a 700x40 or 700x35 size:Smart Sam CX | Schwalbe North America
What size tire is on the bike now?

You might consider Clement PDX tires...PDX Clincher | Clement Cycling, Cyclocross Tires, Adventure Tires, Mountain Bike Tires, Road Bike Tires
theyre only 33s but I would imagine would still perform very well.

IRD has a 32mm version of the Fire Cross, and its also made by Panaracer as far as I know.
You could also put the big Fire Cross in front where it is more likely to fit and put something in the 35-40mm range in back. Maybe something like this...

I like my schwalbe super swans so far, though I guess they are hard to come by.
We just got some 700x40 wtb nano tires in which, while probably not my definition of "super knobbie", look very intriguing.

Are you sure they would fit?
