Are cyclists that dumb! If you read the care instructions for Soigneur merino wool jerseys (https://www.soigneur.co.nz/wool-wash...tructions.html). One line reads: "A steam iron after washing will make your jersey look like new again. Do not wear your jersey while ironing it..."

Kind of like don't stick your feet under the mower when it is running warning that is on my mower deck. You know that is there because some idiot did just that and sued.

One of my friends used to ride with a very competitive roadie group. He said their motto could have been "Better to lose a friend than to lose a sprint".

As a college friend used to say: "If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough."

There is a take on an old Bob Newhart riff.
I don't like French bikes, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who do like French bikes, denigrate means "put down".

A couple were riding their tandem when they were pulled over by a cop who said "Sir, do you know that your wife fell of your bike a half mile back?" to which he replied "Thank God! I thought I had gone deaf!"

True story joke:
At the end of a hard group ride, another cyclist came up to me, saying "Hey, Frank, fast pace today. I almost thought you came off the back."
Me: "Hey, turn around for a second. Hi, Larry! Yeah, tough ride today!"

to be honest, that seems to be the unwritten motto of every group ride i've ever been at. All of them. Most vigorously enforced on those labelled "this will be a social ride. We wait for everyone!!!"

I came up behind two other riders on the road the other day. The guy in front signaled an "arm straight up" signal with his RIGHT arm, and, of course, turned left. The young lady in between went straight ahead, as did I. As I started to pass, she remarked/asked "Did that guy just signal for a left turn with his right arm?" I responded "He's from Australia" as I went past.

I was at a garage sale a few years back and saw a mountain bike with the fork assembled backwards. I told the couple selling it and the husband said she never rode it so it didn't matter. Can't argue with that logic. I did notice his bike was put together correctly.
