From earlier polls I'd say quite a few people have longer commutes than that. Me, i'm just short of the 10 miles by a few hundred meters.

I take the commuter train home, so I get 10-15 miles in the afternoon.

I'm between 10 to 10.5 depending on the route I take. A couple of hills.

It's still a fairly comfortable commute depending on the weather, but I haven't ridden through the summer season yet. Not looking forward to the warm temps.

31 hilly miles round trip. I can't do it everyday though as it consumes about 3 hours on the bike each day.

31 hilly miles RT twice a week on Tues and Thurs. I can't do Monday or Wednesday due to my wife's schedule, and I don't want to ride Friday because I haul all my week's crap home that day. I usually do the round trip in about 2:20 to 2:30 total. With the time change I'm starting to leave the house about 6 AM so I can get in early, then leave about 4:30 so I have a bit of light left to start out, and get home before 6 PM.

While my direct route is only 4.5 miles one-way (flat), I use it only in really foul weather.

My preferred routes to work are 16.3 (flat to rolling) and 9.6 miles (hills), and my preferred route home is 12.9 (rolling).

Every 2 weeks I do a 15 mile commute one way, 30 mile round trip. Normally it's more like 2 round trip.

The direct route is only 4 1/2 miles, but I often do extended rides after work of 10-30 miles.

For a couple of years 21 miles round trip until it was time to move this summer, now only 15. If you don't have lots of traffic and stops, 10 miles each way is just about the ideal length.

13-16 miles one way. I rarely ride both ways on the same day. Takes me 1-1.5 hours. I prefer the longer hillier route when I have the time.

Between 11 and 15 miles one way, depending on the route. The short route traverses 4 miles of gravel road, so it can be close to impassable when I'm on the road bike and it's been recently graded (so it's all loose rocks). It's not pleasant at those times even on the fat tire bike. If I'm on the road bike and it's a nice day I'll take the 15 mile route.

35 miles RT 3-4 times a week. It is about 65 minutes one way so it is not much slower than driving depending on the traffic.
