Just ordered a Wilier Grand Turismo
Well I just could not pass it up 2013 and it has the threaded BB which I still think is the best overall for what works well. It sure looks good and I hope it rides well. I have 2 full carbon bikes now that ride great but just had to try a different one. I am riding a motorbecane immortal spirit with dura ace 7800 and it really rides well and I have gotten 8200 miles on it with no problems. I just figure if this is not directly I am hope it will be a very good frame and ride. Will report when I get it probably not till late next week. I would like to hear from any who have one of these although I have read the recent post.

I have this bike and am very happy with it. It's my first carbon bike though, so what do I know? :-)

I did a 40 mile ride this last weekend. Given the Illinois weather at the moment it could be awhile before another ride but 30 degrees would be a heatwave right now. I will post a full detail if someone thinks it will be beneficial. My first impression was really good and steady.

There's a 2013 Gran Turismo sitting at the lbs, too bad it's not my size - fitted with SRAM Force as well.
For 2014, there's two models; seems the GTS is/will be available in the States, and the GTR not so much.
When I get my GTR built up (with Force - I just can't get used to Shimano), I'll post a review.
Please do provide some details, I'm interested in how you like it...

I think that he meant flare. See, when you buy a Wilier, they send an genuine Italian guy to shoot rockets at you... it's why Willier riders are so fast.

Congrats.
@ Others, Wilier bikes look the same as Orbeas and Scotts and any other carbon bike to me. Even the curves and distinguishing accents I see on other carbon, nothing special in design. Would even go as far as to say, doesn't look any more special than the Chinese carbon I see on Ebay except for the colors and large decals.
To me, Trek, Giant, Cannondale, Wilier, Cervelo, Specialized, Bianchi, Jamis, Scott, Orbea, Ridley etc all look the same. They all look like they are made in the same factory by the same people.
The only bikes that really seem to be a bit different are BMC and Pinarello. But that's me.

I just got mine about a month and a half ago. Only got a short shakedown ride in before all the weather moved in. It was my first CF as well. Enjoy! where did you get yours from?

Nice choice. I saw this bike onine and thought of buying it. Seems like it might give my felt F5 competition.

Lest one think ride comfort is only for casual riders, the Gran Turismo proved to us once again that that slight bit of give also helps you go faster in certain situations. One of our regular test loops includes a wickedly fast downhill sweeper with coarse pavement and a precipitous fall-off to the right. Some uber-stiff superbikes we've tested in the past have felt skittery and nervous through that section, meaning we had to slow down entering the turn and had to sprint coming back out.
On the Wilier, however, we barely had to touch the brakes and carried much more speed. The bike felt more planted and stuck to the ground. It was a similar situation for a regular section of washboarded dirt road, which we were able to pedal through with more rhythm than more unyielding bikes that bounce you out of the saddle
