hello
Howdy! I'm 44 years old Clyde mainly into road biking, commuting, touring and the occasional gravel ride. I've been riding my whole life but only seriously for the last 12 years or so. I have over 25,000 miles and almost 1.3 million feet climbed on strava. I'm sick of the r----t bot farm so I've decided to go back to the forum life to see how things are here now. I'm 6' 4" and currently weigh 230lbs, started at 265 and slowly working down over the years.
I have 180mm/160mm rotors front and back on my touring bike and that is working ok for me, but I honestly think good rim brakes still outperform sram rival disks at 180.

Hey everyone. I'm back to the forums after some time away from biking and becoming a bigger clyde (5' 10" 310 lbs) . Previously I was bike commuting to and from work but that's not an option after I moved. Now I'm getting back to riding with my kids and just replaced my old Specialized Hardrock with a Marin Muirwoods last weekend. I have to say it feels great to be back on a bike. I waited way too long to replace my stolen Hard Rock. Now I'm just trying to figure out what mods to make on my new bike.
