Greetings fellow DIYers

Hello, new to the forum here. I'm more of a motorcycle enthusiast, but i'm getting fat so I'm building me a bike. In my previous motorcycle forums experience, I have always found it very helpful when people post their builds and issues because there is always someone out there with the same questions that will find that info helpful.

For that reason, I am building a bike from scratch and will be posting the entire build once all the parts come in. This lockdown seems like the perfect time for a dedicated project like this.

Seems to be a Look Huez carbon chinese replica. Gonna fit it with flat bars and mtb groupset.

Where would be an appropriate place to post this?

Very cool! I've had a lil 2 stroke YSF200 for 16 years. Very easy to work on and awesome to learn on both riding and tinkering.

Welcome! You'll want to start your own thread in the Bloggers section and add to it as your build progresses.

Like you I wasn't into bikes till I started riding again about 9 years ago. My brother in law gave me a Fuji Sun Touring that was beautiful. Sadly someone stole it out of my fathers garage one winter. Before I got into riding It was all about cars, my father owned a garage and junk yard. As soon as I got my license the bike I had since I was 8 was gone.I am so happy to be riding again and it will help with the weight loss. I lost 80 lbs when I started riding again (of course the diet might have had something to do with it.). Good luck.

Thanks! Yeah, aside from three motorcycles, I also spend a lot of time (and money) on a '71 Nova. That is a big reason I got into cycling so much later (I'm 32).

The only times I rode were for event rides, so I always tied cycling to fun, not exercise.
