Got my spring project back from powdercoat. Decals this weekend. Stay tuned.

Before -

After -

Decal'd -

Seems like the Velocal "Madison" decal is slightly larger than the original. I went with a lighter gray on the seat tube and fork, and blue underline on the top tube to reference the original blue bar tape. Also added the Tenax decal. Although this was advertised as a 1987 model, it's clear from the head tube and Bb stamps that it is a 1986 (April 10, 1986).

Man, that's awesome. Don't forget to chase the BB threads, and coat the inside of the tubes with framesaver, while it's apart...

the braze ons are identical to the pinarello i had. only difference is the pinarello was without a chainstay brace. (80s amatore model).

looks great. id opt to sell it at a ridic price given its NOS condition.

I believe mine is a 2010. Got it as a frame, fork and headset only in trade. My prior single speed/fixie was a converted Windsor from the 70's and I have collected gold parts - so the Madison with the gold headset and lettering was a great fit for my parts:

Here it is with bull horns, Speedplays and racing saddle - I did 2 triathlons with this setup:

Good ideas. Taking it to LBS at the end of the week to get new headset cups pressed, I'll see if they have Framesaver. Now just waiting on my neon green deep v's and purple anodized cranks. I'll be all set!

I know this is tacky but I can't help myself. Got back from LBS a bit ago, chased threads and framesaver'd. Started assembling but done for today. Will finish this weekend in time for the warmer weather next week. Everything is only finger tight (except stem and bb) will finish assembling and fit this weekend. Mega hotness.

Awesome build. Saddle color is out of balance but that's not a factor while riding.

What bars are those on it? I'm not sure what the original bars were on those, but the ones on there now, to me, have too much flat area across the top before it curves down, and the drops are too shallow. But that's just my opinion, and like i said, i don't remember what bars mine came with, but i had some old nitto track bars, and they looked great.

These are 38cm Nitto B105 - I think track drops are incredibly uncomfortable to ride on the street. Original bars were 40cm SR drops. Not track drops.

Oh yeah, they are def uncomfortable and not very practical for daily riding. BUT they look awesome.

So, maybe last post here for now. Sorry to flood out this page. Here she sits. Waiting to put pedals on and fit because I'll be too tempted to ride and the roads are still **** here. I do plan for a wheelset once my checking account rebounds. I hope I've done this great bike justice.
