1994 Colnago Master Light Headset Type?
Hi Folks,
I just bought a 1994 Colnago Master Light. I want to change the components to period-specific but I just have no idea what type of headset to purchase. I know that it's 1", but does anyone know if I need English or Italian thread, and any other specific info before I buy one on eBay. Thank you for your help.

Either Shimano or Campagnolo will work. The headset should be pressed into the head tube.

English or Italian headset threading is virtually interchangeable, but it was probably Italian originally. Bike has Campy on it? Go with Campy like this one from Velomine:
New Campagnolo Record 1 threaded headset New Campagnolo Record 1 threaded headset [8033148851571] - $74.99 Velomine.com : Worldwide Bicycle Shop, fixed gear track bike wheelsets campagnolo super record vintage bike
Modern components graphics are a bit OTT compared to vintage though, so if you decide to go for a '90s Campy headset, I sure wouldn't blame you.
It should be ISO, so 26.4mm crown race, etc.

Nice looking bike, always liked that straight fork.

Yup, most of the components are now Record, I guess I should have been a little more specific in my original post. All I have left is the wheels and that Chris King headset. Thanks for the input.
