I,m far from being an expert ,in my market which is still pretty high that bike would make someone very happy at that price.

That's the first version on Shimano RX100, which was manufactured for the 1990-1993 model years. The Club Fuji wasn't in the 1990 line-up and in 1993 was spec'd with SunTour. The 1991 version used an Ishiwata frame, so this would appear to be the 1992 model. FYI, MSRP was $618 US.

While I agree that the Allez Comp is the better value, not everybody likes compact frames and the associated changes, such as threadless stems, huge handlebars, carbon forks, TIG construction, etc. The Fuji still has the classic style, while offering the amenities of indexing, Hyperglide and dual pivot brakes. For many cyclists, bicycles like the Club Fuji are the sweet spot.

Yes it's mine. It's been listed for about two months without a peep. So, I must agree. The vintage market in Florida seems to be on life support. Still, it's a really pretty bike with very little mileage. Maybe I should try ebay.

Thanks for the information T-Mar. It's a very attractive bike with all RX100 bits. Even the hubs are marked RX100. It's the only non-Suntour equipped vintage Fuji I've ever owned. Since it's a 92, I'm also guessing this Fuji wasn't made in Japan. Must have been manufactured in Taiwan.

I had a quick look in the database and many lower end Fuji from the very early 1990s, including a few Clubs but not a 1992, have a serial number format that is consistent with Fairly of Taiwan. Consequently, there's a very good probability that you can determine the exact frame manufacture date, down to the month.

Here's a couple pictures of the serial numbers on the bottom bracket. I've got no idea what's under the cable guides. And, that's not a white sticker. The serial number is stamped into the steel & painted white. (Sorry about the poor lighting).

Yes, your frame was manufactured by Fairly of Taiwan, specifically during September 1991, which is late enough in the year to be a 1992 model. Thxs for posting.

Celebration time! After over four months, I finally sold this beautiful 1992 Fuji Club. I wasn't getting any response from my Craigslist ad. So, I listed it for sale on the Facebook bicycle page a few days ago and, a buyer responded and, picked it up today. Final price = $185. (Wanted to get
closer to $250 but, what the heck. At least it's going to a good home). I'm going to advertise all my vintage Japanese steel bikes on Facebook from now on.
