It is a Gazelle Primeur from 85 and I updated it to Sturmey Archer 70mm drum brakes front and rear. Dyno front and 5 speed rear.

Here's mine:
It is a 1961 Schwinn with an Alienation PBR coaster brake wheelset, Profile SS cranks, handlebars from Dennis Kirk, and a good ole' Brooks B72. Makes me feel like a kid again.

Classic and vintage cruisers are not something I necessarily associate with the beach, though, so this thread seems to make sense too.

Not that I object to you starting this thread, but in case folks want to see more, there's a 35-page thread on cruisers (dating back six years) in the "Beach Cruisers" forum, here: Show me your cruiser

I painted and built this Centurion Le Mans in a fixed gear "cruiser" a couple of years ago and rode it around a few times - it was great fun. But, being neglected, I recently tore it down to use some of the components elsewhere.
I'm sure this thread will inspire me to consider some sort of proper replacement for it!

I posted this on the Beach Cruiser thread last year, more lipstick on a pig, but I had fun building it and I'm having even more fun riding it. I switched to regular black 4" riser bars and Kenda 383 blackwall beach cruiser tires since then but otherwise it's basically the same. Not really a beach cruiser and although it's kind of "klunkerish" it is not a klunker, it doesn't really fit in any particular category but it is a dream to ride on our chip and oil streets. It also gets quite a few " " looks LOL. The frame is from an '82 Columbia Clipper BSO with Suntour 3 X 6 Accushift group from an 80's Haro MTB, the wheels also are from the Haro with Suntour hubs and Araya rims. The freewheel is a Shimano 6 speed, it works with the Accushift index shifting but the RD trim adjustment has to be spot on. It has a 1-1/8" head tube but the original fork had a 1" steerer tube, since the original headset was a total POC I went with 1-1/8" threadless suspension fork and headset. It's a cheap fork but more than adequate for this. I had to pony up for a solid Cro-Mo seat post though, everyone I tried prior to this ended up bending under my svelte 235 Lbs. There's still several inches of seat post down the seat tube, I ordered the longest one they had so there would be plenty of contact with the frame.
