Bought new, decided to mod while still new. The goals were to introduce more CF/reduce weight, naturally. Of course I went overboard; trying to avoid totaling amount outlaid. Managed to trim bike from a shade under 22 lbs to about 19.25-- a lot of it rotational weight. Without further adieu, the list:

Whole drivetrain replaced: 105 cassette and RD are now Ultegra. FD is now Dura-Ace. Crank was FSA Gossamer, now SL-K Light.
3T Arx stem, 90mm. Full unidirectional CF, not the typical CF over alloy.
Easton CF 20mm riser bars
Specialized Overendz CF bar ends to replace stockers
Specialized CG-R CF seatpost to replace stock PAVE carbon
Easton CF wheels. Fawkin' awesome
Zipp Ti skewers
Xpedo pedals
Selle Italia SLR Max Gel Flow saddle
Arundel cage

Whew. I think that's it. So what I retained from stock: tires, brakes, shifters

Looks good. I have a 2015 Elite that is almost 24 pounds. I'm working on putting together a list of stuff to get to shed some weight. Wheels are so expensive though!

Beautiful bike! How do you like the Sl-K lite Crankset? I debating on that or an Ultegra crankset to match the Shimano components I already have. Our bikes look almost the same except I did the CG-R with a Red Phenom Pro seat. Also have A530 pedals on order, I keep nicking my shins with the stock pedals.

Thanks man. Still in the very early phases of evaluating the equipment, but happy so far. I stuck with the FSA to mimic the 2016 scheme, to keep weight low, and to retain (or so I thought) the stock bottom bracket. Required a new BB, I would come to find out.

Thanks, this helps. Yeah it looks like most of Specialized bikes have a FSA crank for 2016. Keep us updated and enjoy!

Thanks for the warm words AJH, all. I must admit, I enjoy admiring the bike more than I would've expected. As regards the tires: I had planned to upgrade those as well, but I found a number of positive reviews on them and the weight is surprisingly competitive. I decided to live with them and evaluate. It's obviously an easy change down thhe line should I so decide.

Sorry one more question. Would you be able to weigh your old axis wheels?. Next step is wheels and I want to know exactly what they weigh before I decide what I want to spend. On a side note, I went with the Ultegra Crankset and converted it to a 50T 1X, getting rid of the front derailleur and shifter to save weight, I should get it back this weekend.

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to weigh the wheels. There's some info online as to the weight of the 2.0s, however.

I think I read they were 1925 or so, I'm assuming your new ones are in the 1500-1600 range. Hope you are liking it even more than before

Love the paint scheme. Charcoal and red is the best color combination for a bike, in my opinion. I wish I had picked up the 2015 Roam 1 instead of the 2 for that very reason. But my charcoal / green scheme ain't bad either.

Thanks. That's why I opted for it. Could've waited on a 2016 Pro and done less modding but I was partial to this color scheme; although the current Pro is not all that dissimilar.

Awesome mods! Good idea to have done when bike was new. I purchased a Sirrus Expert and made many mods when new and over the course of the year since purchasing, have changed every component except the stock stem! It's s totally different bike, rivals a top-of-the line road bike. I would say upgrading to Mavic carbon wheels and switching out the FSA Gossamer crank to a carbon Sram Force 1 are the most noticeable changes. Will post pics and full specs soon
