wheelies
how far can you guys wheelie on your montain bikes. i can only go like about 50 metres and change through a few gears.

50 metres is a good effort. I haven't really measured my wheelies yet and i don't really do them as often anymore. I would though, like to manual around 20 metres.

I've been doing wheelies for almost 25 years and I would be lucky to get 15-20 ft.. i've always sucked at them, despite being able to do much harder ground tricks.

I wish I could wheelie, but never can find that perfect balancing point. It's just one of those things that are cool to see on a bike. A couple buddies of mine are masters. High speed manuals down hill and around corners, or super slow over bumps or on bridges, doesn't matter, they do it. I could watch them all day, but when it's time to hit the single track, later.

1meter tops lol i have been trying ALOT, but now with my new 12. somthing Kg bike its way to easy to get the front end up.. my prob lem is finding the right spot... and keeping it... i have been lucky and got a good wheelie but thats just luck... never gave up though... same with stopies, always a bit afraid though... i fliped over once and did some serios damage to the bike I WAS PISS3D... what else yeah i just got a new bike and it does stopies well too but i dont wana flip it... i thnk i dont have the ba||s for that kinda ****... oh and im real heavty (FAT) so when i fall i get hurt way worse... thats my theroy, or its just that i dono how to fall... and for some reson i cant bunhop either lol also always tring i get it off like 1inch max... but sooner or later ill get it, i want to be able to get up on to curbs and stuff mainly just for practical resons... and my drops arnt consitant... sometimes i land both wheels at the same time and some times the rear first and somtimes i just crash on the front... lol but mosly i get it flat... btw i got me a new bike new thread some were soon, WATCH OUT lol, i love it...

wow not to brag, but i can get like 3 city blocks and around corners. Don't do those **** stand-up and pedal your ass off wheelies, try em sitting down and use your rear brake to ballance. There are like 50 threds on wheelies and manuals here, check em out!!

The trick is not clipless pedals, but clipless on a fixie. That **** is hard.
Also, I dont bother whith wheelies anymore, manuals are where its at.
