Does not seem to be anything really exciting to get in the mail today, but this one tickles me pink!
I've been only buying 7 speed FWs for my bikes in the last few years, but I just could not pass this ISO threaded Maillard "Course" 6 speed FW that only cost me 27 bucks at ebay!
Supposed to be "Used" but dang it looked brand new when I looked at the eBay pics of it closely, and sure enough, except for a few dots of surface rust on the smallest cog face, its does not have any sign of use at all, and I also easily unscrewed the smallest two cogs off the FW body with just my fingers, so this thing was most likely never mounted on a wheel/bike. Many sellers are now pricing these FW at NOS condition up to at least 100 bucks these days, so here's what I say to them with this bargain buy!

Same here and I also like the aesthetics of the wheel...even if they do weigh a little more, for my rides not that noticeable.

Too many projects right now, but couldn't see this frame being wasted. A survivor of abuse but the trail to my door was kind- thank you UPS. (Usually those guys handle cartons like gorilla's.)

Thanks to Brad, in exchange for some Detto shoes, I'm sitting here, while BB parts cook in the USC, sipping a cup of New Market Spice tea. Yum, yum!

If I worked for UPS I'd handle gorillas very gently. The cartons ought to be less demanding.
Nice looking frame!

^Jim- well said!
Thanks for the comp's but don't look closely. Rough looking yet appears straight and ding free (at first inspection.... x-ing finga's). I have no idea what Viner model or year. Partial Columbus decal.

Just wondering, do you pronounce the bike's brand name "Vee-Ner"..... or "Vie-Ner"?? Also Asking because "Vitus" got me fooled for so many years before I eventually learned to pronounce it the correct "Vee-Toos"......

I got me some beautiful C-Record pedals with Campy straps. Just a little polish and we are good to go. Heavy or not, that was such a beautiful group.
