Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just bought this 4 days ago, Fork/wheels will be switched out first. Then maybe saddle and bar tape/hoods to something more interesting.

Here is my REd bike.. Old Corsa Extra Eddy Merckx from 1987.. Mix of old and new - Campy Record 10 speed with mavic brakes and older Campy crankset.. It was a nice CL find..

The photo was taken right before I rode 20 miles in less than an hour. Note the "Best Young Rider" Tour of California jersey. I'm young only in terms of centuries, but the jersey was on sale

Colnago is my fav brand and I own a number of them however, I think a lot of their paint schemes suck, thank god that has nothing to do with how they ride! Anyway, I love my C40 but that particular paint design is probably my least fav ever especially in those colors so what's a guy to do...paint it and then ride it like he stole it! Fortunately my other 'Nagos are nearly solid colors or are more "vintage" when they did some paint I really liked.
