I got bored and build a 1x6 speed with a Sram TT shifter on the bar end. I played around with the gearing and I really love it. This will upset all the roadies out there for sure

Fresh Garbage
I have a DX-3000 frame sitting in my bed room. The down tube is slightly impacted so I'm saving the frame to make a little townie type thing

Went out for an easy ride on the Ron Stout today (easy except for the 15-20mph wind with 40mph gusts). Altogether, a nice fall day.
And just because I figured out how the timer works on my camera, here is me and my Stout taking a break mid-ride:

A late afternoon maintenance session for my mid-1990s Caloi Elite:
The leaves are turning quickly now. Tomorrow I am planning to ride up a local ridgeline where there is a clearing (no trees), you can see down the valley both ways for miles. Hopefully the weather will hold so I can get some pics.

Mid-autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Nothing really exciting, just Forest Service roads in the Jefferson National Forest. Some are maintained, others weathered to bedrock. Always enjoyable to be here .
It's hard to believe that I started riding this route more than twenty years ago, but just brought a camera today.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
And now for something completely different... my extrabike which I built up in '08 that has been working hard ever since and will be one of two bikes I use for winter riding.
It can carry a few kegs if need be but usually gets used for grocery runs and errands... have never ridden a more stable winter bike than this.
