Trek USPS Carbon 5200 OCLV
More curiosity than actual interest although you never know.... I always liked these bikes back in the day and remember some very strong riders hammering on them. What does BF think they command these days? I figure the DA7700 is worth a few hunny on its own.

Doesn’t seem to be much interest here but seems there was in the market. Bike went up on CL yesterday and came down off of CL yesterday.

Do you recall what the asking price was?
They don't seem to go for all that much, which is crazy to me. I bet someone got it for like $600, or even less. Great bikes all around. I've been riding a slightly later version for many years.

I always like them. I have not seen one sold in my area but I would buy one if it was a good price and fit me.

I had a 00 5200. It was an very good, relatively inexpensive off-the-peg race bike.

It was posted for $400. Seemed like a good price to me. Early carbon not really my thing but I might have made an exception for this one.

Yeah, that bike for $400 would be sitting in my garage right now if it would have been in a local C/L Around here that would have been priced between $900 - $1300

Those seemed really sought after for a bit, but have lost steam. Some bike more than others seemed to take a downturn. Not saying this is one as I have not seen them in a while. I'm still surprised bikes are flying out of stores but C&V road has not seemed to budge in general.

Depends on if someone is looking for one, a bike of that era is only worth what somebody is willing to pay at the time. It took me years to find an original US POSTAL edition Trek 5200 with a good condition frame. I jumped on the sale right away, didn't even haggle.
Then rebuilt it from the ground up into a bit of a weapon...

Just saw this thread. I also just came across one that included a nice elite quobo fluid trainer for $500. I jumped on it with the intent to use the ultegra group on a frame that fits me. But it’s almost too nice to part out.
dk these sell on eBay or some other means?
