CCM Rambler
Paging T-Mar ...
This project is sitting here locally.
Since you're famous (I saw your advice on vintage CCM) and happen to know a little about these bicycles, I'm hoping you can humor me and answer a few questions.
Does this frame accept rim brakes, or are they strictly coaster brake?
What do you make of the serial number and advertised 1943 build year?
I'm looking for an excuse to build a 700C 3 speed wheelset around a 40 hole AW hub and this frame has potential, however my hub doesn't have a brake and I'd need a way to stop. It seems these frames have holes at the seat stay bridge and fork crown that point toward the hub instead of perpendicular to the rim, which is more than I want to deal with on a whimsy build. Any advice you'd want to offer is welcome, and I appreciate your wisdom!
