'MapMyRide' app
Does anyone use 'MapMyRide'? I have the app on my iPhone 5s, went to the website & created a few simple routes, and sent them to my phone.
I can load the route from the email, but it doesn't save or bookmark. The routes show up on the website (on my PC), but not on my phone.
Any suggestions?

I use it all the time. You can create routes on your PC and send them to your phone, as you have been but the PC stores them not your phone. On your phone you can review previous workouts etc. I just send new, old routes from phone to PC before heading out. You could always send a bunch than pick the one for the day from your mailbox.

Have you tried using Ride With GPS? It also allows you to build routes from the website, which then automatically syncs with the RWGPS app on the phone.

Off topic, but can anyone who uses this app explain who the "points" for the courses work? I can't figure out how the points are awarded or what the basis for determining how many you receive is calculated.

I used it for a while, but quit using it when I switched phones and it wouldn't work with my new phone. I only used it to keep track of distance and time for new routes and didn't use it much at all.

If you want to store all your rides and maps on your phone, try Cyclemeter. It uses a local database to store your ride info and you can view any ride, any time, without being connected to any website. It will store both created routes or downloaded routes from any cycling website that exports GPX, TCX, KML or FIT files.

I use Urban Biker and LOVE it. Don't let the name fool you. It's not just for urban areas. It's customization so you can make the on screen display show only what you want to see. It overlays everything over Google maps if you want it to. It tracks your routes. It's a great app and I love it.
Oh, and the embedded ads only show up in the settings menu, not on the app front end so you never get annoyed with ads while you're riding.

Got MapMyRide working again. Turns out there were filters over the routes that I hadn't set.
I'll keep an eye on it, and keep these others in mind if I run in to problems. I don't like nonstop ads.
Thanks for the advice & suggestions!
