Anyone recover Brooks saddles (besides Brooks)?

I have several Brooks / Brooks type saddles that are either rotted or petrified. I'd have Brooks redo them but with shipping to and from the UK, it's more or less the price of a new one, or at least an excellent second hand one. Seems a shame to just toss them. Anyone out there doing this kind of work or should I just make a mobile out of them?

Also Brooks has a US-based remanufacturer, I recall in Philadelphia or something like that

Cost for Brooks was $~40-50 more than RHM, but I wanted to support the local artisan.

RHM it is.

Forget the subject of cost of his vs. Brooks or their recover. His saddles are all unique, a labor of love and quality workmanship. Not fair to equate the time involved, let alone cost of material's.

Lastly, I feel guilty and only wish to have more old trashed saddles / frames for his projects.

That's good to know - I'm in Philly, but I'd also like to support the local artisan. Have contacted him.

There's also a shop in philly called Firth + Wilson...Simon does do saddles with Brooks hides if an RHM isn't your bag.
