Bont Shoes: Molding Help
just got mine in, and i have one probelm area for fit. my 3rd metatarsals (middle toe) are lightly touching the end of the toe box.
*my 4th metatarsals are just barely grazing, and i believe if i can "push out" space for the 3rd mtts that the 4ths will be fine
i already read the 40 page weightweenie thread about bonts, but was looking for other possible information.
i have molded them about 4 times now per instruction. the longest time being 40-45 minutes following interval recommendations.
the resin (on heel cup) does not feel soft to pinch when removed, and no tools have helped push out the problem area (screwdriver, broom handle, crank arm, hammer handle)...and the hair dryer died about 4 minutes into heating up.
shoes are 44.5 (wide). 1st and 2nd mtts (big toe and toe next to it) are not bothered. problem toes are not touching the end when the foot is unweighted (off ground). i have not attached any cleats or tried pedaling yet.
i know a few people here have them, so help a nukka out.

I dunno mate, try talking to Bont support. I think you aren't heating them to a high enough temp. I've got a few pairs, I do mine in the BBQ. My third toe hits, I use the handle of a screw driver and I've been able to mold them to fit ok.
