On my way: China to Turkey

Now 4 days of riding under my belt for a total of 352 km and from 500 m to 2700 m. I am in Songpan, northern Sichuan Province Will take a day off here and adjust to the altitude before continuing the climb up to the grasslands. Expect to spend a few weeks over 3000 m.

I've just read your CGOAB journal thus far, and great reading. Especially liked that pic of the dried bull private parts!

You've been crook with a cough and chills, and it's just like we have been going through, too. Maybe it's the release mechanism for the stress of packing up and actually getting on with the travelling part.

We've taken a bit of time in Asia to settle things down a bit, and we took stock of what we wanted to do. We pulled back on the riding around Hokkaido, so Machka could recover from her cold, and that has been a wise move, I think.

Anyway, enough of us. A word to the wise for others: Go have a look at azesty's COAGB journal, it's a good read, and the photos are interesting, too.
