Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pre ride pic from today, mate has just put his American Classics on, they suit it down to the ground in my opinion!

I am 5'8" and the 47 isn't too small for me. When I got this I wasn't sure either. I went with a longer stem and I have to leave a spacer under the stem, but otherwise it fits very well. I did use the fit guide at Competitive Cyclist before I got the 47. If you can get accurate measurements it works pretty well to get to a starting point.

Here's my BMC, had it about 3 weeks now from CC. 51cm frame, switched out the saddle with a Specialized Riva after the fitting done at the local bike shop. I love her... though I managed to screw up my ankle playing ultimate so I've only done 3 rides on her.

OK, so here's your traditional white garage door shot of my SLR01 Team Machine with full Campy Record EPS. This was a retirement/B-day present to myself, and I'm lovin' it!

Thanks captain obvious. I didn't say it was a not or that it was ugly. I simply mentioned that if you were taking enough effort to take picture, upload and post, you could take the 5 seconds to close a closet door and move a couple items on the floor surrounding the bike.

Nice self gift. Have you thought about getting a zero set back seatpost?

Yes, it's on my to do list. Does anyone know of such a critter that'll fit the "rectoval" seat tube on the Team Machine?

I think the SLR and the RM does have seatposts that have different setbacks - if I'm not mistaken there's 3 sizes.

Ask your dealer. They can order it for you.

It took a bit of googlery, but I did manage to find the zero set back SLR01 seat post at Evans Cycles in the UK. There are indeed 3 versions, 0, 15, and 30 mm offset.

Rental out of Colorado Springs , did 500km over 4 days. Not too fussed on the seat but everything else was perfect.

Down in Silvercliff

Here's my SR02. Won the frame on eBay for an amazing price earlier this year and built it up with Force/Red components. Next step is to replace the seatpost with a carbon fiber one to improve the ride. I know it's not the best aluminum frame out there (according to the Cult of CAAD thread) but I've really grown to love it and have had a lot of fun on it so far.
