Blew out my MTBs fork racing today(crappy stock budget suntour one), probably gonna just replace it with a crabon rigid fork since I'm not shredding the gnar regularly.

I'm debating going full rigid mtb again (mostly smoother fire trails)...I just think "Yeah, I'm going to need full suspension for the heavy trails" but in reality it's going to be a 90% dirt roads/light off roading while camping.


Just found out today I'm in the final process of getting 100% disability (Marine infantry/Iraq)...it's been a long road but it's really going to help me. In case you're wondering, none of my issues relate to bike riding...I'm not one of those guys on Dateline that has a so-called back disability and is seen out chopping wood. It's legit. If anyone is generally curious for whatever reason, you're welcome to PM me.

Kind of a TMI but it's the best news I've had in a long time...nice to see that light at the end of the tunnel. It's going to be a life changer.

It was a close friends birthday so I surprised her with a homemade lunch, she loved it.

I made a baby kale salad with red onion, walnuts and strawberries and a lemon pepper vinaigrette and a Fusilli with a grilled artichoke cashew cream sauce and peas. I also gave her a Meyer lemon Miracle Tart from Hail Merry because I didn't have time to bake anything but they are so good I didn't feel bad.

Now after over a week or so I am finally getting back on BikeForums after a nice long supported ride over memorial day and a bunch of work.

I learned that seeing someone come up 2 seconds short of your Strava KOM on a 22 mile gravel segment is extremely entertaining. The dude has been chipping away at it over the last month on a Salsa Warbird Ti. I did it on my roller. I have no doubt he's gonna smash it soon, but still.

Shiz was good. If I had a recipe I would gladly share it but my recipes are a little of this a little of that a little more of this...
The sauce mainly centered around TJ's Grilled Artichoke Halves, with cashews, almond milk, nutritional yeast, basil, lemon pepper, minced garlic and a touch of onion powder and salt. Though in the past in similar sauces I have sauteed onions and garlic and then blended but I wanted to make sure the artichokes came through so I didn't do that here.

The salad dressing was coconut vinegar (the secret to awesomeness everywhere) olive oil from sundried tomatoes, lemon zest, lemon pepper, salt, agave nectar, some red pepper flake/powder (I used ghost chili powder but in a teeny tiny amount) and some minced garlic.

i just made a veg ginzo sangwidge, tofurkey italian sausage and peppers w/ onions on a baguette

i think im gonna go get another loaf of bread and make a second one.

No problem! I was going through the same thing and then popped it open and almost near wanted to eat the whole jar. Luckily I didn't and saved some for the sauce. This new batch I made used the whole jar minus one.

My crack is the Thai Vegetable Dumplings and Chocolate Liquor Cherries. I once had so many in my cart people were asking me where stuff was as if I worked there and I was restocking them...you know you have a problem then ; )

To be fair the amount used was quite small. I just happened to have it nearby (keep your friends close and your enemies closer) It punched up the flavor just ever so slightly in the amount I used.

Today I was demo'd the new joeblow booster pump at the LBS.
You can store a liter of air at up to 160psi which you can then release in one fell woosh to seat tubeless tires in a snap at home without a need for CO2 or an air compressor.

Pretty nifty.

I have the Joe Blow Pro and it looks similar. That is how it should be done. That pump looks pretty damn cool, and the boost of air would be nice. Any way you could get that to blow grips off the bar?

Today I have a "saddle sore" on my crotch mostly like from not taking time to adjust my chamois properly and then riding a fast 30 miles last night and subsequently trashing my plans to ride to work today for the first time in like 8 months.
