Here's my Lemond. Titanium frame, aluminum fork, 2x10 Campagnolo drivetrain. I built it up myself, including the wheels.

Cool bike. How does the aluminum fork feel on the road?

So... here is my only geared bike. Originally a 2001 Trek 5200 (USPS model) I bought used for parts (the frame and fork both had cracks) to put on a 2012 Motobecane Vent Noir frame and fork from Bike Island.

Everything having to do with making the bike go or stop is Shimano Ultegra except for the pedals, which are Look KEO Classics. The wheels are Mavic Ksyriums, and the bars are Bontrager RaceXLite Blades. The saddle and seatpost were not original on the 5200 when I bought it, they're both Bontrager with the seatpost being, I think, RaceXLite (or Race Lite) carbon.

It's one hell of a fun bike to ride.

It's the only fork I've had in the bike, so I can't offer comment on it alone. The bike has a short wheelbase and tight handling, and it accepts 25mm tires, max, so it rides pretty hard. I can't say it's because of the fork material.

Right on. The only experience I've had with alu forks has been harsh, but they were also on alu frames.

Same I would hope titanium would soften up the ride enough to make the alu fork less relevant but it is aluminum and it generally doesn't ride as nice as steel or ti or that new fangled crabons with the weavy fibers.

Looks like a half eaten pecan or something left over from the feed bag. And there are three of them?

Gotta be custom masticated.

Oh!!! Twine, yeah, totally see that now.

It looked like pecans shoved in there or a piece of banana or something. I'm having trouble visualizing things lately.

I haven't taken acid since before you were born son.

Might want to look in the mirror.

never done acid in my life, dad.
also, I'm probably older than you think. but anyway, I'm not the one seeing pecans and bananas where there's twine.
