In front of Agnes Jamieson Gallery in Minden, Ontario. Don't know I'd ride a fixie on the hills they have there.

This guy was heading home with a flatie he caught while plugging for stripers. In bike terms, that's like going to buy a Fuji and coming home with a Bruce Gordan...

the flowering trees are all in peak form in this area! I wish I could say the same for my own form!
Here are a few shots of Detweiller park from today's ride. Apologies for the crappy phone camera.
a shot of frame that Gordon Borthwick built for me in 1989. The parts are a weird assortment of stuff, but mostly good stuff.
in this shot, you can see that I clearly have no respect for the law.
and a wider shot, showing the glory of spring!
What the photos don't show is that the wind was blowing at 20 to 40mph out of the south. Nice and warm, but annoying enough to send me to seek shelter in the hills of the river bluffs.

No idea what this means, no reference on the interwebs, maybe just someone's street art?

I spent a month that summer cleaning up the flood debris from Agnes..I think the going labor rate was$10 an hour..for a 15 year old kid that was BIG $$$! My cousin & I were helping to clean out a house and found a Luger pistol and a quart mason jar full of quarters buried in the mud and gunk..we gave them to the homeowner, who let us keep the quarters!

Dirty work, indeed! I had to get a tetanus shot before I went up there to work. But,it was all good as I got to hang with my cousins who I hadn't seen for a few years. I bought my first real stereo with the money I saved up that summer..John

I Like Turtles
Found this turtle (tortoise?) and flag separately in the same general area today and had to compose this picture. I feel he really was faster than me today. I'm blaming headwinds both ways.

If it wasn't staged, I can only assume that the hare has already won the race and all of the spectators went home hours ago.
The Bianchi is lovely though!

Oh, it WAS staged; I found that flag elsewhere in the same area, not as in the picture! Thanks for the compliment on the bike!

I hope to snap a picture: Four days in the last week, I've ridden the same route, and each time, there was a lone twig standing up at the edge of the road, and on that twig there has been a red-winged blackbird. What are the chances? I suppose he really likes that spot for whatever reason.
