Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any one seen the new Trek Domane?

I haven't seen it in the flesh yet but the video is interesting and I want to check it out. what I really want is Fabian's legs more than his bicycle

Saw one last week at my LBS about three days after I read about it online. The joint at the intersection of the seat tube and top tube is funky.

Have they really run out of "creative types" at Trek; that they could not find another name that is not an anagram of Madone?

I saw it today...pretty sweet looking. I liked the clean cable routing on the HT.

in the vids they are pronouncing it do-mahn-ee, interesting concept at the TT/ST junction, I can see how this could smooth out rough roads at the seat, to bad they are only making it in the 6 series, a 4 series would actually be affordable for me...

It will filter down eventually through the year or next model year. Looks like a great design. Although the improved Roubaix SL4 looks great and actually won the race

One thing I'm curious about is the bike is made overseas and its a 6 series. I wonder if that means treks 6 series madone bikes are now going to be made overseas also.

I'm sure they never thought of that in a million years. You had better give them a call.

I thought it was a military grade carbon that only NATO countries are allowed to manufacture

The SSL version is the one with the military grade carbon only, I think trek needs to go back to the drawing board with their marketing I'm confused. This is my theory Domane will be the endurance bike (think roubaix) and a new madone will be coming out probably for the tour and that will be the race bike (think tarmac) maybe 7 series now and that will be the only one made in wisconsin.
