Need a little help with this Super Course . . .
I just picked up a Raleigh Super Course that the seller ( a knowledgeable person) believes is 1972 vintage. In going through the online sites, I can see where that is likely the case, but there are a couple anomalies that I think I'm seeing. Most notable is the headbadge style vs. the serial number location. Maybe some of you can help me nail down the year the bike was made. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the frame, but it is in pretty nice condition with some typical patina and wear - it should clean up nicely. Here are a few pics of some of the details.

Out of curiousity, what size is it? Wondering about the ST and TT c-t-c.

The seat tube is 23 1/2 inches and the top tube is 56cm. It’s a good fit for me, but I have an International that is dang near a perfect fit.

Mmm, same as mine then. Also has the dropout serial, but later headbadge.
By any chance did you notice any toe overlap when it was built up?

Chrome fork crown and anniversary head badge indicate a likely date of about 1970. 72 is too late for the badge. May we see more photos please? I’d like to see the style of decal script as well as some side photos of the lugs and seat stay cluster.

OK Paul - I’ll see if I can get a few more shots.

I thought the anniversary badge indicated 1970, but I could be wrong. Here's the 1970 catalog page:

Nervex lugs on a Super Course usually mean 71 or 72, headbadge is usually 70 or earlier. Best guess, unless someone can decipher the serial number exactly, is late 1970 for the 71 model year. Probably not unheard of though for some of those badges to slip through into 71 or the lugs to be used on a 70.
