Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This mornings ride. Not much of a scenery, but it was quiet, a bit morning chill and the sound of spring happy birds!

Being as apparently the "empty" road ahead thread can now include cyclists (which is odd,) I offer this:

More often than not, it is what you are taking the picture of, not what you are taking the picture with. I would be willing to bet that over the years, more great pictures have been taken with point and shoots and low end cameras than expensive ones. Putting oneself in the position to get shots is the first criteria in good picture taking,IMHO.

I was at Kwanju from 2001 to 02 and spent a lot of time out in the country on the bike. Did a good mixture of road and off road. We had some great trails but the Koreans have never heard of switch backs. Most trails would go straight up the mountains so it made for some challenging rides. Still it was a great time.

it's a relatively new road, they opened it around April last year as I remember. It's 21 miles long and is painted at least as far as the 12 miles I rode of it.
