Two Bikes, Two Wahoo Bolts?

Two Bikes, Two Wahoo Bolts?
My wife is very understanding and bought me a another road bike for Christmas. I have a Wahoo Bolt on the "first" bike and was wondering if I need to get another Bolt for the new bike or if I can use the same Bolt on the new bike (i.e., switch the computer back and forth).

Just get a 2nd mount and use them back and forth. The Bolt doesn’t know. If you use speed sensors, the device will find the sensor and automatically connect. Ditto any HRM’s, cadence sensors, etc,..,, I’ve never heard of anyone purchasing separate unit’s for each bike, pretty pricy.

I use one Elemnt with two bikes. 2 sets of sensors, one set on each bike. Elemnt recognizes them when I startup.

also, the Bolt comes with 2 mounts. One is the aero clamp on mount, the other uses zip ties so you can mount it anywhere. My good road bike has the aero, my commuter has the other. Just swap it around. In fact, when I did a vacation I took my Bolt with me and carried it in my pocket so it would record. Of course your phone can do that too.

Just remember, if the wheels/tires are different between the bikes you will need to allow for this. Not sure about a Wahoo but Garmin allows multiple bike profiles. I use the same unit for my 2 road bikes and my mountain bike. I just switch profiles.

I have the usual 700c road bike and a 26" MTB/Commuter bike and I don't do anything to set it when I swap between them, except that at some point I decided that swapping the wheel sensor is a PITA. I should just buy another.
