Attaching a Burley trailer to a new carbon bike

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Attaching a Burley trailer to a new carbon bike

A big chunk of my riding these days is with an 18-month-old in tow (literally... in a Burley trailer.)

I'm currently using an older road bike... is there any risk to using a newer road bike with a carbon frame? I believe most of the weight/stress is placed on the rear axel, but I can't help but be a little paranoid.

As long as the dropout area can accommodate the hitch without interference, I wouldn't worry about it. I've only towed my Burley on a CF bike (my old Jamis Xenith) a few times, and that was ages ago, but that's only because my aluminum gravel bike is more suitably outfitted for casual use (two-sided SPD/platform pedals, rack, etc). If that bike were out of commission for some reason, I wouldn't hesitate to put it on the CF Domane.
