Morocco (Nador>Marrakech) routes?

Hi there, I値l be arriving in Morocco mid November, and need to get to Marrakech by December 2 to meet my family for some conventional tourism.

So I値l have about 2-3 weeks. Possibly a week or two after that if i still have the financial means to keep going!

seems like southern Morocco is better for touring. But I値l be arriving Nador.

Theres a gajillion blogs online which makes researching on my phone a little overwhelming.

Anyone with experience have any advice or suggested routes?

How do you feel about being target practice for kids with rocks?

I致e Read pretty mixed reports on this.. a few reports of this happening up north and a few 努e received nothing but kindness, unsure where these kids with rocks are meant to be! Reports.

I致e not seen any context as to why it happens to some..

have never been so no personal experience, but what I can say is thats its still worth reading as many crazyguyonabike or whatever journals to get an idea of what you are going to be dealing with.

water safety, ie filtering etc and availability
temps expected
vaccines, although frankly you've left this extremely late
food supplies avail and where
accomodations typical that you'll run into
and all the stuff that people who have recently ridden there will be able to give pointers.

perhaps Im wrong, but its hard to tell what preparation you have done so far.
knowledge is always good, have a fun adventure, but do get as much info as you can.

To address this - over 3000km over Morocco, it didn't happen once. There was a 2 day stretch with a lot more begging (being chased with chants of "candy" or "money", that could be perceived as hostile by the anxious white man - but in reality was quite playful - a hi5, a bike vs foot race were a bit of fun. In the very touristy areas (ie Marrakech and the parts of the Atlas mountains you might already know by name) the begging is worse, and the encounters less genuine or rewarding (you're just a tourist dollar, of course) - but by far in large, Morocco is the friendliest, kindest place I have travelled. Marrakech sucks, though.

Thanks for reporting back to us. I've watched several vlogs where they say nothing but nice things about Morocco
