Kool-Stop Salmons for "this" type of canti?
Did a cursory search but didn't turn anything up. I'm setting up an old ('89) Trek 800 for winter, and I want to install a set of Kool-Stop salmon pads. Bike has Exage Country Cantis, a different "style" from your typical canti of that era with the non-threaded post. The pad doesn't have a po. The pad doesn't have a post. Instead, it's a female threaded insert, with a "dish", and a bolt with a set of dished washers, similar to a v-brake setup. I'm not finding any Kool-Stops that match this design.
I'm thinking a V-brake style pad will work, but just wondering if anyone has successfully set one of this style canti in this way.
(And yes, I'll take care of those scratches on the seat stay....)

Yeah, I saw the Continentals. But the blocks themselves don't look like they'd be as effective as the canti types. And there's no dish to accomodate angle adjustment.
I think I'll try a set of conventional three-season v-brake pads, just to test fit, see if they work.

I took off the long V pads on my 349 wheel Bike Friday Tikit, with V brakes and fitted these
Kool Stop International - High Performance Bicycle Brake Pads Since 1977
On my 1st Brompton I used the continentals on the CLB singlepivots they worked fine..
on my 2nd Brompton the double pivots used a Tektro supplied brake
so sorta like these Kool Stop International - High Performance Bicycle Brake Pads Since 1977
but all I actually bought was the inserts.. stock insert was Fibrax brand..

Okay, I was wondering about those Cross-Pads; they looked like they might do the trick. How is the angle adjustment with them?

Epilogue part 1 - Tech at Kool Stop Emailed me back, recommending the Cross Pads. Said the concave/convex washers provide plenty of angle adjustment.
Epilogue part 2 - Changed directions and prepped an old Hard Rock Sport, with conventional cantis with non-threaded posts. I had already bought a set of Eagle 2s with non-threaded posts, so they mounted right up. They're quite fussy about position, to keep them from screeching, but once they're dialed in, they rock.
