When you don't have skis...
Wanted to cross-country ski last night, but my friend doesn't own skis. So we grabbed the bikes instead. Had a great time. The photo below shows the ATV / snowmobile route that we took. We also hit our local jump trail, which was a lot of work to pedal down as none of the snow there had been packed. Good times!

reminds me x country skiing at night w a buddy once. he went down a hill ahead of me, crashing into a stream, breaking off both ski tips. crummy walk back to our car. luckily no bad injury. that was when we were young & pliable

Skiers on the paths/trails are not that unusual here? 'Course, it was made clear 'round these parts a while back that there are no bike paths/trails. They're all called "multi-use". Some of the state rec trails even allow snowmobiles, but there's obviously some controversy about that.
