Brooks Pro 1986 and recent 'Challenge' bag
Hi all. I've got an extra vintage Pro saddle from the bin and a recently acquired 'Challenge' small saddle mount tool bag.
Saddle is black, it's stamped 'A 86.' It's in pretty good shape for its age, I'd say amazingly great except that there is a pattern of shallow indentations in the surface as if the saddle had been stored for a long time with a set of heavy chains resting on it. (Long storage would also explain the overall light wear shown.) These marks aren't noticeable in use, esp if you have a chamois on. There are no splits or abrasions in the leather, the rails are in great shape, and the copper rivets have a neat verdigris look. Asking $70 + ship.
Also have one of the 'Challenge' small bags, recent vintage, little used, but leather has curled up a bit in storage. It's very dark brown, not black. $45 + ship
Will happily combine shipping but of course the bag won't fit under a Pro without those special Brooks clips.
Also would be interested in a trade for a specific model B17 I would *swear* was made a few years ago but can't find now. Got a separate ISO post for that.
